      The bug

      When a player dies, an ender pearl thrown before death should become invalid. However, the ender pearl teleports you even after you respawn.

      How to reproduce

      1. /gamerule doImmediateRespawn true
      2. Set spawnpoint to somewhere else, away from where the ender pearl will land
      3. Throw out an ender pearl
      4. Before it lands, kill yourself
        → Notice you're teleported after respawn
