After bridging out six blocks with scaffolding, one can double-click to place two scaffolding blocks extremely quickly. The first will fall as intended, while the second will stay suspended in midair (attachment 15.55.26)

One can add to this scaffolding block by placing scaffolding as they usually would. This action removes the original midair scaffolding block, and keeps the new one (attachment 15.55.39).
