I bred turtles, and they laid 2 eggs.  I picked up the eggs with silk touch, then later landscaped area where they were originally laid (1432/63/949) to make turtle farm.  the original turtles were not enclosed in farm. I then placed the 2 eggs in newly created farm and hatched them.

When they grew up, I bred them, and pregnant turtle would not lay eggs at that location.  When released from fencing and followed for LONG time, pregnant turtle proceeded to travel to area around -1509/65/101 (a distance of ~3060 blocks, euclidean.  however turtle did not take the most direct path), where turtle kept circling area, until I replaced grass blocks with sand, and it proceeded to lay eggs at those coordinates.

to be clear, original turtles not involved beyond laying eggs resulting in breeding pair.

both members of breeding pair (one of which was the pregnant one who went across world) were hatched in turtle farm, not in location that pregnant turtle laid eggs.

it is entirely possible that this bug is related to:

      https://bugs.mojang.com/browse/MCPE-59043

but as it may not be related (seems all people giving information seem to be using bedrock edition, in one form or another, and I am using java edition), I decided to post mine separately.  my apologies if they are related.

I hope I gave enough information, thank you for your time and I hope that the bug causing this can be fixed.
