I have a keyboard that contains dedicated volume keys, when changing the computer volume using them while the Minecraft window is active, the game freezes for a few seconds causing the game to be unplayable during that time. This same problem also occurs in the menus and GUI for Minecraft.

Another problem caused by this is that if you are moving while you do this, then your game may still think you are holding down the key you had pressed when you changed volumes until you press and release the key again.
