Lily pads sometimes duplicate when placing them and shaking the crosshair (I've found it most reliable to jump while holding down the right click and then shaking the mouse horizontally)

Right clicking the second lily pad makes it disappear, however it still functions as a normal Lily pad until you try to pick it up/right click it.
