Tamed Wolfs, when provoked, will still attack you in Survival, and Adventure if you change their owner UUID tag to your own UUID tag using commands

Command: /execute as @e[type=minecraft:wolf,distance=..10] run data merge entity @s {OwnerUUID:"newownerUUID"}, where "newownerUUID" is the UUID of the new owner

      How to reproduce:

      1. Step 1: Summon a wolf
      2. Step 2: Let another player tame it or change the owner UUID tag of that wolf using commands
      3. Step 3: For control setup, summon a wolf and tame it yourself
      4. Step 4: Snowball the wolf belonging to other player while it is sitting down
      5. Step 5: Wolf should still be sitting down, change the UUID of that wolf using commands to your own UUID
      6. Step 6: Right click that wolf to make it stand. It will stand up and attack you. It cannot be commanded to sit. However, the other wolf that you tamed without commands will not react or try to kill the wolf attacking you

      Workaround: Use creative mode
