I just bought Minecraft to play with a friend.

His copy works just fine but mine, when I launch it, does nothing.

I've tried rebooting, reinstalling, running as admin, updating all drivers and Java.

I noticed that a process appears briefly in the Task Manager window, but it just crashes after a split second.

I've attached a copy of my launcher log for further analysis.

@UPDATE:
I got it running in Windows XP compatibility mode, which uses the Legacy Launcher.
