So I have a decent PC for running Minecraft. 16gb of ram, a fairly recent 2gb graphics card, and an i5 processor. I was thrilled to start hitting 400fps on Minecraft with optifine installed. I could run 25 render distance with ease. However. Yesterday I booted up my survival and noticed I was at most hitting 90fps.

Then I noticed the chunk updates. I was hitting FOUR HUNDRED while moving and literally 0 while standing still. The tiniest nudge of the players head sent it skyrocketing to the hundreds region. The issue occurs in all my worlds and all my servers bar hypixel. Only 1 article I've noticed has had a large chunk issue, but it was unrelated and diagnosed to a 1.8 bug. My hardware is only a few weeks old so I doubt it is related to it.  I can't tell how this issue was created. It just hit me out of the blue. I've tried disabling my firewall and reinstalling everything, but to no avail
