This bug happened to me on version 1.14.4, Java Edition, and on a Creative mode world. I'm building a house, and I want some lanterns around it. So I went and get a lantern from the inventory menu. I accidentally got 2 lanterns 'cause I double-tapped my mouse button, but I just remove one of it by putting one on a another inventory slot, then one of it will be removed by putting it on the'X' logo at the inventory menu. After I put some lanterns around my house, I always go to an empty slot so I don't accidentally put a block on something. When I selected the slot where the 2nd lantern was removed, I accidentally right-clicked, and then a lantern suddenly was put on the ground. Like I said, that slot is empty. Later, when I go to the inventory menu and selected that slot, I saw that there are 2 lanterns on that slot. I didn't know why there are two, but I know there's nothing in there after I removed that lantern that I accidentally got earlier. I removed that 2 lanterns just like the other one, and I fixed the problem. I think this is a bug, so I reported it to you. I hope you can fix it soon, Mojang! Thank you!
