I have tried to play older versions of minecraft, in this case 1.8.9, and I was unable to do this. At first I didn't know what the issue was, but after uninstalling and reinstalling minecraft, it seems that when I try to put an older version of minecraft in fullscreen, my computer crashes and I get a BSOD (blue screen of death). Does this have to do with the game, launcher or my computer, and what can I do to fix it?

P.S: Sorry if I chose the wrong version, but the cascade menu didn't let me choose the right one.
