Five seconds after joining my friends server, i get disconnected with the message that the host closed the server. We use Hamachi to connect and host LAN.

A few days ago, me and two of my friends were playing on one of the other friend's minecraft server. We have been playing on the server for quite a while, without any problems. Though out of nowhere, while one of the friends (not the host) exited a nether portal, he got disconnected, with the game saying the host closed down the server. Me and my other friend (the host) though it was just some random internet issue, and he rejoined. Five seconds after rejoining, he got disconnected again. He then tried to restart Hamachi (the program we use to play together), but it was no use. He then gave up, and me and the host kept playing for a while after he left.
The next day however, after the host shared the LAN code and I joined, I had the same issue as the friend the day before. Five seconds after joining, I was disconnected, being left with the message that the host had closed the server. We haven't played on the server after that, because the host feared it might happen to him as well.
I have no idea what can have caused this issue. It might be something with how much we've done in the world, but that just feels unlikely. We've both checked our internet, and there is nothing wrong there (the only time i can remember having an internet issue was back when maintenance was being done to my wi-fi).
What is causing this issue?
