Slimes are not spawning in slime chunks

I used https://chunkbase.com/apps/slime-finder to find a slime chunk but no slimes spawned there. To test further I cleaned the whole area in creative mode and there were still no slimes spawning. I cleared a total of 128x128 area to search for slime chunks but none spawned.
