The bug
When a door is placed while an entity, such as a bee or a chicken, is passing through the same block, the door is created missing its bottom half. The door will completely vanish when the chunk is reloaded. This means that the server doesn't properly inform the client that the door could not be placed successfully.
To reproduce
- Put a flower (or seeds) in your offhand
- Summon a bee (or a chicken)
- Put a door in your main hand
- Place a door on the ground at the same moment the bee (or the chicken) enters the block
→ The bottom half of the door is missing
