TNT is not killing me

      i was in survival testing TNT (i know how TNT works)with nothing in my inventory exept a redstone torch.i placed the RT down the TNT and it exploded but it didn't kill me

      Steps to Reproduce:
      1. go to survial mode.
      2.place TNT and a RT down by each other.
      i don't know if this is for everybody
