When testing hoppers for a sorting system I ran into an issue where items were not getting picked up when flowing over the hoppers. Any system where hoppers need to grab items flowing above them. It appears it's the old bug, from 1.7 or so I believe, where hoppers cannot grab new items when moving items. This creates the issue where there is room in the hopper, but the items slid past.
