Compared to previous updates the amount of hostile mob spawning is unbelievable. At any given time on my world (with 8 chunk render distance) I have used commands to kill upwards of 200 entities at one time. This issue is not just in the overworld either. On reddit I found someone documenting a similiar issue to the infestation of pigmen in the nether. When I used the /kill command targeting pigmen, the console said that I had killed 112 pigmen, much more than what I thought normally spawn in updates prior to this one in an 8 chunk by 8 chunk area. Much like zombie sieges, I have seen creepers spawn in groups of up to 14. I am on vanilla minecraft with no mods/plugins to speak of and the amount of hostile entitites is baffling.
