When going to their bed to sleep, if a villager has a door open when they enter the bed, they will not close the door. This often results in them getting attacked, cornered and killed during the night while the iron golems are distracted.

To reproduce, build a simple villager house where the bed is about 1 block away from or adjacent to the door, spawn a villager, and the issue will become evident at nightfall.
