After taming an ocelot, it becomes unafraid, though it does not change skins and it doesn't follow you and you can't make it sit/stand. They do not run away after taming them and they show hearts above their head when you feed them fish and supposedly tame them, but do no act as though they are your pet besides the not being afraid of you part.
