Boats will clip through blocks when falling into flowing_water with the exact height of the block it can clip into depending on the level.

At level 5 it can clip through bottom half trapdoors placed on the same layer as the water. At level 4 and below it can clip through full height blocks 1 layer below the water. At level 3 it can do the same with chests and so on.
