When providing 2 arguments in the /teleport command (target + destination) you won't get any suggestions. You'll also get an 'Incorrect argument for command' error if you provide a selector that can target multiple entities, for example '@e[type=creeper]' or '@a'. So '@e[type=creeper,limit=1]' still works.

Providing just one argument (only destination) works as expected.
