Sometimes after placing and removing paintings the blocks that were covered by the painting become non-interactable. From the screenshots you can see how the first one doesn't show the outline of the block I'm aiming at and if I try to do anything with the block (at least from this face) nothing happens. From the second block you can see how the block below acts normally and highlights.

From the opposite side the block behaves also normally.

When changing to creative mode the problem persists.

This can be temporarily fixed by disconnecting and reconnecting. After that you can interact with the blocks normally, until you remove a painting and the bug randomly appears.
