When the recipe book is open, both in the crafting table and player inventory, the top most 4 slots on the right side of the inventory become "locked," and the player is unable to grab items out or move items into those spots. The mouse cursor also lags over those spots when the recipe book is open. Once the book is closed, the inventory spaces behave like normal. The player is able to move the items out by using the number keys to assign it to the hotbar, as well as shift-click items into the slots, but not out.
