I actually find the new spawning system for iron golems pretty good. However, I noticed that sometimes the golems spawn in questionable spots. As visible in the attached screenshot, one spawned literally inside the village well. Another time I saw an iron golem in the nearby river (there is no way one can fall into it due to a fence) in which he was stuck until I ended his suffering - unfortunately, I did not take a screenshot that time.
