I was exploring minecraft 1.14, and came across this. I don't think this is a bug, but a part developers over looked, it is that lanterns are not water logged, I even tried water logging them with a bucket, but it didn’t, you could place a lantern inside water and it would create an air space around it, and you can breathe there, it takes away the (I guess) entire point of water logging, other than to look better, and some lagging sea creating monsters. I suggest that when you place a lantern inside water, it water logs, and then suddenly goes off, because the water puts of the fire in the lantern, but the twist is that you can’t use the lantern again on land without drying it in a campfire (make the smelting time very long), this will surely warn players not to put lanterns inside water, and will give a lot more importance to sea lanterns.
