Whenever I sleep in a bed, it skips through the night as expected, but doesn't change my spawnpoint. It sometimes gives me the "missing/obstructed bed" message, but not always. I've tested this in multiple worlds on multiple computers, so it's not just me.

Dying in this snapshot returns you to your initial spawn, ignoring the spawnpoint-setting effects of the bed.
