While briefly in creative mode, ravager beast and at least two of the pillagers were attacking an apparently empty space, leading some of the crossbow carriers to accidentally shoot other pillagers; all affected entities stopped this behavior when I re-entered survival mode nearby and their attention turned towards me instead
