A few things happen while cutting down a tree in the game;

1. Cutting down the logs causes lag as the leaves are updated to know that there are no longer logs near
2. After cutting down all the logs, the leaf decay is very laggy and causes your game to stutter
3. After all of it is done your FPS can be seen to increase
