I Cannot Jump While Pressed Up Against a Block

What I expected to happen was...:
I know this was not in the previous version (19w03a) but I expected to be able to jump up a block while being right next to it.

What actually happened was...:
I am now unable to jump up blocks that I am right next to, it doesn't jump at all in fact, it doesn't do anything. This really hurts when you are running away from something as I can't jump up a block.

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Walk up to a full-sized block of your choice.
2. Press right up against it so you can't move forward any more
3. Press space.
