I found that this new house in the updated Taiga village has a basement, but it's inaccessible without breaking the dirt that covers it. As you can see in the first screenshot, only the top part of the stairs is visible from outside, while the rest you have to dig in order to get into. Now I am not entirely sure whether or not this was intended, perhaps it's supposed to be a hidden little room, but I think it's just a problem with the way this specific structure is being loaded from the structure file (possibly the void blocks are missing or something of sorts, but the devs probably know this stuff better than I do).
