some people might have had familiar issues like this in the recent snapshots.
Basically after the death screen when you respawn the game continues to run with entities sounds and other game mechanics, but without the chunks loading or the player being able to move interact ect.
f3 shows a constant Waiting for chunk...
This only happens to me after respawning until you reload the world.
