I broke a spawner inside a dungeon, and the particle effects remained.
They may have even duplicated, I'm not sure.

This happened while I was in a dungeon.
The spawner was a skeleton spawner.
The cave had been flooded with water when the spawner was broken from a water source in a naturally generated cave nearby.
