Mining a mineral block like gold, emerald or diamond blocks with an inappropriate pickaxe like a stone or wooden pick enchanted with efficency is relatively fast. It confuses the player whether the pick used to mine the block is correct or (for beginners) the correct pick to mine that block. The mineral block mined does not drop anything.
