I created 3d gui view for torches (like shield or end rode have) and texture window is always cutted to its vanilla item texture size (2x10). Adding rotation didn't help.
As gui display I used this
"gui": { "rotation": [ 15, 135, 0 ], "translation": [ 0, 2, 0 ], "scale": [ 1, 1, 1 ]
And I got effect from ss2 instead of ss1 (edited in photoshop)
