The issue happens when you're trying to make the treasure maps slots open for trading. When you just operate with the old deals (like selling paper), everything runs fine. However, when one of the deals should open the treasure maps slots, the game freeze the PC after you making the deal, and a few minutes later minecraft crashes.  After restarting the world, it happens so that you get the trade items, but new slots doesn't open.
