The bug
Updated my server to the 18w22b snapshot update. As I was making sure that everything was as it should be, I began to notice that leaf blocks placed as decorations deteriorate unless they are touching bark or logs. I've attached pictures. All exposed glowstone and sea lanterns were once covered with leaf blocks.
