The bug is using observers. You are able to reproduce the bugs with the steps below. The bug is viewable on the pictures.

It is possible that you are not even able to place redstone on the observer.

How to reproduce:

1. Place an observer block
2. Place a line of redstone on it
3. Place redstone in front of and behind the observer
4. Place a redstone torch at any end of the redstone line
