I have encountered a bug a few times now in which I place my items in a chest before logging out. I make sure to save and quit rather than just quit. When I return to my world, there's a good chance that the items that were placed in the chest are gone completely. (note: this has been taking place on a single-player world)
I have not experienced this glitch before this occasion, and I'm looking forward to it being fixed.
