Title is pretty self explanatory.  Went to move some chests to a new base and the checkerboard texture appeared when starting to break them.  This also happened with my bed as well. I think it could be an issue where the textures for mining don't apply properly to differently shaped blocks, but that's just a thought. I am not using any resource packs.
