When in Minecraft 18w01a if you place rails on an upward slope and are to break any of the rails, the rails attached to the one those rails will not remain in a slanted state as they always used to in previous versions.
Below I have attached an image of what the rails do in snapshot 18w01a as well as what theyre supposed to do in 1.12.2
