So I went into a single player world to test a datapack and I opened it up and it was all fine until I removed to vanilla datapack so my custom one can be the one it gets the crafting recipes from. I spawned in a forest and when I disabled vanilla, BOOM, the tree's leaves started to decay and it was laggy and saplings was dropping.
