Minecraft does not give any errors when the game crashes. The symptoms are that when I go into a server and try to change game modes, move to a different group in the groupmanager plugin, execute the "/help" command, the game will stall then not respond.
For single player when trying to make a new world, it will hang on the "building world" part. It does not move past this point, and the logs suggest no errors took place. The longest I've ever tried to was waiting 15 minutes for the game to load the world. Minecraft never stated that it isn't responding, but looking at task manager shows that it isn't taking up any more ram than what it was using at the title screen.
It is very strange to see these errors, and they are happening to a friend of mine who also has an AMD CPU and GPU. Both of us are up to date on Windows updates and Java updates, even going as far as installing 64 bit Java.
