First of all I am aware that it says 1.12.1, but my problem is with the version 1.10.2.

I just bought a new computer and installed Minecraft onto the computer. At first - I couldn't actually use the most recent launcher as when I would go to log in it crashed or froze. When I tried to log into a Minecraft server it would freeze on 'loading terrain' and would never go any further.

I was led to use a downgraded version, and the one I'm most familiar with. However, while it does get me onto the server, it doesn't show any custom content [Such as decorative heads] and all the skins are either Steve or Alex, including my own.

I tested this further by going onto Single Player, and my skins are still Steve or Alex. I've attached a text document that might be able to help figure this out, but I would really appreciate some form of an answer as I've not been able to get a straight one since Friday and this is quite irritating.
