To reproduce, first ensure you have some advancements unlocked: /advancement grant @p everything. Now pause the game and click "Advancements."

Switch from the "Adventure" tab to any other tab, then close and reopen the advancements menu. You will be returned to the Adventure tab instead of returning to where you were before. This makes it more difficult to track your progress on a specific advancement.
