The new snapshot 17w15a, has another bug. It is when you are inside two blocks, and go to first person front with night vision, you get x-ray vision.

I thought that I wouldn't be able to see anything.

I could see all the caves below me.

1. effect yourself with night vision
2. make two sand blocks fall and bury you
3. go to first person front
