We run Windows 7 Professional and the latest Java Version 8. The video card driver on our computer seems to work fine as other games, like Terraria, are launching and running without a problem.

We have been playing Minecraft regularly since January 2016. For some reason, starting April 1, 2017, the Minecraft Launcher was not responding. It was running and there were no error messages but it was not bringing up the Minecraft game. We logged into Minecraft.net and clicked repair but had the same problem (it would not launch). We then moved all files in our .minecraft folder to the recycle bin and emptied the recycle bin and we uninstalled Minecraft. We logged into Minecraft.net and downloaded the game again and it went thru all the ire-installation processes and made the Minecraft icon reappear on our PC. However, we had the same problem - we click on Minecraft and the launcher is running but it doesn't launch the game. It does not look like Minecraft was reinstalled properly as our .minecraft folder only contains two .txt files with "launcher" in the file name - both of these files are also attached. No other files were installed. What should we do? Thanks, Jeff
