I haven't played normal vanilla minecraft for a long while (since 1.8.9) so I wanted to play the latest version. But when I tried to create a new world but then it would fully load up then instantly crash. I have also checked that there wasn't any mods or anything and have cleaned it out but yet it still crashes every time I load/create a new world. I don't know if this is a common bug but I have looked around the forums and couldn't find any crash reports like this unless I just missed it.
