I was going to be playing a older minecraft map so I downloaded version 1.5.2 and 1.4.7, from the launcher, however instead of loading up like how its ment to be, it crashes as it tries loading in the version of the game and the cause is unknown to me but seems to be connected to the latest version of the game, because once downloading version 1.11.2 version from 1.5.2 and below crash when you try to load them up. to cause this delete you .minecraft folder and login to the new launcher, after that download version 1.4.7 and 1.5.2, load them up and see they are working fine, then download version 1.11.2, load it up and see it works fine, then try opening up the previous versions again, you would notice the game crashes when you do. the crash reports I got from my experiment trying to locate the issue will be included.
