Particles while sprinting will show up even in spectator.

Step to reproduce
1. Go into spectator mode
2. be low enough to the ground that particles would appear should you be sprinting in survival.
3. Sprint using the hotkey not double tap> (ctrl be default).
It is easier to view this while at a low speed however it is not necessary.
