What I expected to happen was...:
Expected to see the Minecraft select/create server screen

What actually happened was...:
I instead get a black/blank screen and eventually have to close it out

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Open the new launcher
2. Click Play
3. Sadly look at the black screen

Additional Information:
The first time I launched I got a Java SE error, which no longer appears after I updated java and rebooted the PC. I also attempted to install and run Minecraft 1.10.2, with the same issue.
