First of all I apologise if I might sound rude, just understand that I lost an year long project to this issue, I am extremelly furious at this "feature".
Someone got a bug on their brain and decided to no longer center the maps where we plan so hard to, I got a huge wall almost full of maps but the last few wont fit cause the center is now all messed up
What I expected to happen was...:
Devs would understand nobody want the center of the map to be forcefully fixed to a grid, specially on worlds previous to this, or at least make a shift+click to snap to grid, let us choose the center of our maps
What actually happened was...:
I can't complete the huge map that took me many mounths of exploration cause the last few maps wont center where I choose
Steps to Reproduce:
1. update the game to version 1.8
2. try to create a map where you want
3. fail miserably as the map will always center wrongly
4. try to ask for help on support
5. gets shoved of cause this is "working as intended"
6. delete a world with 1+ year cause you cant finish your one biggest project
Sugested Solutions
1. admit you messed up on this one and fix that for the next possible update
2. give us an option to ignore grid either by command or on map creation, or even better to delete the grid itself
3. tell me how to edit the .dat file so I can manually fix every map the newer updated misscreate, maybe even create an official extention to edit those maps so that we can fix your mess
4. stop marking the bug reports as solved just because the bug isn't in the map, but on someone's (with power to give the calls) brain, you know this is an issue and it is not solved just because you want it to be this (broken) way
PS: the SS is another of my worlds that got seriously fucked by this
